Apple Pay Jolts the Mobile Payment Market

Consumers are using smart phones for an ever broader range of functions, and mobile payment services is a key area of interest. The launch of Apple Pay is the latest major development in a market that has recently witnessed several big name entrants.

A September 18-30 ChangeWave survey of 4,161 consumers took an in-depth look at the mobile payment services market, including the impact of Apple’s new service. Apple Pay – which uses NFC technology along with Touch ID and unique transaction codes – will be available for use with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
